*{{para|''n''loc}} – location cited
*{{para|''n''p}} – page cited
*{{para|''n''pp}} – pages cited
*{{para|''n''ps}} – quote or comment; defaults to nothing; unlike e.g. {{tlx|sfn}} the value <code>none</code> does not mean nothing; a semicolon (;) will be placed between items regardless of the value of this parameter
*{{para|ps}} – terminating quote or comment; defaults to period (.)

Instead of using {{para|''n''a1}} and {{para|''n''y}}, unnamed parameters may be used, as in the following example:
