די אידישע היסטאָריע אין פּערסיע הייבט זיך אָן ווען די אשור־אימפּעריע האָט פאַרהינערט דאָס מלכות ישראל אין יאָר 722 פאַר דער ציווילער רעכנונג און פאַרשיקט די שבטים קיין ח'וראַסאַן. שפּעטער, נאָכן חורבן בית ראשון, זענען פיל אידן פון מלכות יהודה פאַרשיקט געוואָרן קיין בבל און פּערסיע.<br />

די באַקאַנטע מעשה פון מגילת אסתר האָט פּאַסירט אין דער שטאָט שושן, וואָס געפינט זיך אינעם היינטיקן איראן. דער רשע המן האָט געפּלאַנט אויסצוטילן דאָס יידישע פאָלק, אָבער דורך די נס פון הקדוש ברוך הוא און די השתדלות פון מרדכי הצדיק און אסתר המלכה איז דאָס פאָלק געראַטעוועט געוואָרן. ביז היינט געפינט זיך אין דער שטאָט המדאן דער קבר פון אסתר און מרדכי, וואָס איז אַ הייליקער אָרט פאַר אידן פון דער גאַנצער וועלט.<br />

אונטער די פּאַרטישע און סאַסאַנישע אימפּעריעס האָט די אידישע קהילה געבליט. דאָרטן איז געווען די הנהגה פון "ריש גלותא", וואָס איז געווען אַן אייניקל פון מלכות בית דוד. אין דעם דאָזיגן געגנט זענען געווען די באַרימטע ישיבות פון סורא און פּומבדיתא, וואו די אמוראים האָבן רעדאַגירט דעם תלמוד בבלי. דער תלמוד אַליין כּולל פיל פּערסישע ווערטער.<br />
